Paul Brickman  (April 23, 1949) is an American screenwriter and film director, born in Chicago, Illinois. He is best known for the film Risky Business where he served as director and screenwriter.

Before transitioning to directing, Brickman began his career penning offbeat films such as The Bad News Bears in Breaking Training and Jonathan Demme's Handle with Care.
